Step by Step

This walking tour will allow you to discover Buenos Aires according to your tastes and desires. As this is a private activity, the choice of itinerary is entirely up to you. When you book, all you have to do is indicate the departure point and time and what you want to see. The local guide will take care of the rest. As for the duration, it usually ranges from 2 to 6 hours.

During this time, you will be able to focus on the must-see attractions of the Argentine capital, such as Plaza de Mayo, the San Telmo Market and the famous Caminito de la Boca. You can also ask your guide to focus on the more curious attractions. The following is a list of some of them:

  • Paseo del Fileteado: Fileteado Porteño is an artistic technique originated in the early 20th century to decorate horse carriages. This street is located in the neighbourhood of Balvanera.
  • Zanjón de Granados: the old drains of the city, which follow the course of the Tercero del Sur stream. It is an extensive network of tunnels that reveal the secrets of colonial Buenos Aires.
  • Recoleta Cemetery: located in the neighbourhood of the same name, it is mainly known for its large Belle Epoque style mausoleums. It houses the tomb of Eva Perón

You can ask the guide for some tips on the local cuisine. He will know where you can taste a good Neapolitan milanesa, empanadas criollas, grilled meat or alfajores, two biscuits joined by a dulce de leche filling.

This tour gives you the opportunity to experience the Argentine capital like a local. As this is a walking tour, it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

We really got to know the city like locals. If it's your first time here, I recommend taking it on the first day to clear your doubts and get the best recommendations.

Buenos Aires is a beautiful city, which deserves to be seen and explained in great detail. Sometimes the cheapest tours take maximum 1-2 hours and here you could manage it at your own time.

I have 4 small children and it is very complicated to do tours with several people together with them, so I went for this option and it was the best!!!!
