Walk around the 15 hectares of Sovereign Hill where you will discover a former mining site with all the history it contains. Specifically, this is a 2 for 1 ticket, which means you'll have access for 2 days while only paying the price of 1 day.

Inside you will learn about the history of Ballarat, a gold rush boom town. You will learn about how it grew rapidly from a pastoral town to a great city due to the riches of gold.

You'll meet traditional blacksmiths and craftsmen, and learn about the inner workings of the Red Hill mines with the tour included in your ticket. Not forgetting the many activities on offer, with a total of 18 in all.

These include the opportunity to pan and pan for your own gold, see how boiled sweets, wheels and candlesare madewith your own eyes and even witness the firing of muskets.

Optionally you can also include a visit to the famous gold mine, while free parking is included as standard.
