Step by Step

Thanks to the bike lanes and pedestrian zones, it's easy to get around Montreal on two wheels. This bike tour lasts approximately 3 hours and includes an expert guide who will tell you about the history of the metropolis. The itinerary usually covers the following stages:

  • Vieux Port - It is located between the historic centre and the St. Lawrence River. It hosts cultural activities, gastronomic events and music festivals. Its main attraction is the Ferris wheel, the tallest and most important in Canada.
  • Quartier Latin - Home to a large student population and is very lively. Worth a visit for its restaurants and street art.
  • Parc La Fontaine - Originally a farm, it was transformed into a public park in the second half of the 19th century. It is a popular destination for playing petanque, sunbathing by the pond or just walking around.
  • Mount Royal - A remarkable urban park on a hill overlooking the city. For its inauguration, the citizens commissioned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. Today, its forests are home to hundreds of animal species.
  • McGill University Campus - The university was inaugurated by King George IV in 1821 and is recognisable by its limestone buildings. It is located between downtown Montreal and Mount Royal Park.
  • Business District - The financial centre of the metropolis. The famous Sainte-Catherine Street, the temple of shopping, is located here.

The route ends in the old town of Montreal which brings together places such as the Notre-Dame Basilica, Rue Saint-Paul and the Bonsecours market. As this is a hybrid bike, you won't have to exert yourself too much thanks to the pedal-assist.

Good tour, high quality and high standard. Although we expected more from the tour, it was worth it for the neighbourhoods we visited and for what we learned about the history of the city. Highly recommended.

The cycling experience in Montreal was really amazing, we saw some beautiful neighbourhoods and learned a lot about the history of the city. More than recommended, it is a tour that everyone should do if they decide to visit Montreal.
