Step by Step
Discover how real works of art can be made from copper with this one-hour guided tour of the Albert Gilles Copper Art Studio and Museum. Throughout the tour, you'll be accompanied by a tour guide who will explain the significance of each piece you see. You will always be part of a small group of about 10 people in total.
As well as access to the museum, this visit will also give you access to the workshop. Here you will see with your own eyes the technique used to work copper. Here you will get to work and make your own copper piece, which you will take home with you at the end of your visit.
This piece consists of a small square about 8 cm long. In this way, you will learn and assimilate perfectly how copper is worked. You will also discover the artist Albert Gilles, who is known for being the author of the doors of the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, without forgetting other important pieces such as the numerous Christian representations that decorate a large number of churches in North America today.
