Step by Step

Buying a ticket to the Conservation Park guarantees access to a large enclosure that houses endangered, rehabilitated and stolen animals.

The park is divided into three zones and houses monkeys, felines, birds, reptiles and other animals. It is also home to less common species, which can be seen from a short distance:

  • Coati: a mammal of the raccoon family, recognisable by its thick, striped tail, similar to that of a lemur.
  • Marmoset: the world's smallest monkey, so small that it fits in the palm of your hand.
  • Jaguarundi: also known as a gato moro or leoncillo, it is a relative of the puma but is less famous and smaller in size.
  • Lobo pollero: a species of iguana with a yellowish or olive skin, with black stripes running across it.
  • Bicorn hornbill: a yellow, black and white bird with a distinctive curved bill that also covers its head. It lives in the tropical forests of southern Asia.

Before it was called Conservation Park, it was called Santa Fe Zoo. The transformation was not just about the name, but also about improving animal welfare and raising awareness of biodiversity.
