Step by Step
Embark on an exciting half-day excursion to Famagusta and discover the history and beauty of this ghost town of Cyprus . Departing from your hotel in the areas of Kapparis, Pernera, Protaras and Ayia Napa, you will board a comfortable bus together with a small group of about 16 people and enjoy a short drive to your first destination.
Upon arrival, you will make a short visit to the Cultural and Heritage Centre in Derynia, where you can watch a short film about what the city was like before the invasion. Afterwards, you will continue your tour exploring the ancient city of Famagusta. You will pass by its famous sandy beach and all along the coast you will see its deserted hotels. You will see ruined buildings, castle walls and also many of its churches and cathedrals that once witnessed centuries of history.
An expert guide will accompany you all the way. As you walk through the deserted streets, your guide will tell you interesting facts and curiosities about the history of Famagusta .
