Step by Step

Enjoy an 8-hour guided tour to Otavalo, Cotacachi and Cuicocha travelling from Quito. You will start your trip heading towards the famous Panamerican Highway where you will enjoy majestic landscapes and mountains throughout the journey.

This adventure will be led by a local guide, who will take you to points of interest such as:

  • Otavalo Market: this is one of the most famous and authentic markets in the Andean region. You will be able to find a great variety of handicrafts, textiles, jewellery and local food. Don't miss the opportunity to barter for interesting and unique items.
  • Local markets: known for their beautiful handmade crafts, such as leather bags, belts and Andean instruments. You can also find paintings and other works of art in the workshops and galleries in the area.
  • Cuicocha Lagoon: it has two volcanoes in its interior, creating a spectacular view. You can enjoy a small boat ride on the lagoon (at an additional cost), admiring the changing colours of the volcanic waters and the natural beauty that surrounds it.
