Explore the history and cuisine of Normandy on a private day tour to Honfleur and Beuvron-en-Auge from Bayeux. They are known for being some of the most beautiful villages in France.

A local guide will accompany you on a tour of the half-timbered houses of Beuvron-en-Auge and Honfleur, the village of inspiration for painters such as Monet and Courbet and of timber-framed houses.

Some of the points of interest you will visit are:

  • Cathedrale Notre-Dame: one of the monuments that marked the beginning of Canadian colonisation.
  • Musee de la Tapisserie de Bayeux: it houses medieval tapestries, including the famous Taperstry of Bayeux where part of the history of William the Conqueror is illustrated.

During the tour you will stop in the Pays d'Auge region to enjoy a delicious regional meal accompanied by Camembert cheese and the renowned Calvados brandy.

It was the only tour we did while on holiday in France. It was enough to appreciate the cultural value of the country and the history of each region. Everything was very even and picturesque, especially Honfleur. I highly recommend it!
