Beauvois airport is located in Tillé, about 85 kilometres north of Paris. It is known as the third airport in Paris, after Charles de Gaulle and Orly.

In this post I will tell you about the means of transport to get from Beauvois airport to Paris. There are options for different budgets and time available, so take note of the details to choose the one that best suits your trip.

Private transfer, the transport that suits you

The advantage of these services is comfort and flexibility, as you are picked up when you arrive, without queues, and taken directly to your destination, without having to decide how to get around the city of Paris to get to your hotel or flat.

Another advantage is that you can customise your trip according to your preferences or your travel expectations. For example, you can choose different models of car or minibus, depending on the number of people you are travelling with or the way you like to move around. The services that are usually included are:

  • Professional driver
  • Welcome sign service
  • Free cancellations up to 24 hours before pick-up time
  • Luggage rack service
  • Extra stops in the same city, interesting for groups with different accommodation.

Interesting facts

  • Timetable: whatever you need. The contact forms ask you for your flight details and explain how you will meet at the airport.
  • Price: varies depending on factors such as the vehicle you choose. But a return service can cost approximately €300 in a vehicle that seats three people with three pieces of luggage.
  • Journeytime: about one hour and twenty minutes.
  • Do I need to book? Yes.

Booking a private transfer to and from the Paris airports

By bus, a direct and economical option

There is a shuttle bus service (shuttle bus) that runs directly between the airport and the capital. This option is the fastest and also the cheapest if you buy a return ticket.

However, if you prefer, you can buy a one-way ticket. The price is adjusted with the return ticket, so it is not more expensive.

The destination stops in Paris are:

  • La Défense Terminus Jules Verne
  • Saint Denis
  • Porte Maillot

And if your reason for travelling is to visit Disney Paris, there is also a direct shuttle bus service from Beauvis.

Useful information

  • Timetable: departures from the airport to Paris start, depending on the destination, around 8am. From then on, there are departures almost every hour, although I advise you to check the timetables on their website. Departures in the opposite direction, from Paris to the airport, start at around 3am.
  • Price: For adults, a return trip costs around €27 and for children around €17. A single trip is about half the price: Approximately €15 for adults and €8 for children. For small children (up to 4 years old) the trip is free.
  • Journeytime: approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
  • Intermediate stops: none.
  • Is it necessary to book? It is advisable, as you risk running out of seats or queuing and missing the bus.

Rent a car, travel at your own pace

If you plan to travel by car during your trip to Paris, there are several companies that offer car hire directly at the airport, such as Europcar, Sixt, Avis, Budget or Hertz, among others. You can check the models available for your travel dates online.

The advantage of this option is flexibility and I advise you to research the cars available online for your travel dates and, when you decide, book before you arrive. This will ensure you find what you want.

But be careful! Be aware that there are two places where you can pick up your hire car at Beauvais airport, depending on the company you choose:

  • In car park 3
  • In an area set up for this purpose opposite terminal 2, between the bus station and the car parks.

Useful information

  • Opening hours: if you have booked, you can pick up your car on arrival, although please note that car hire companies at Beauvois airport have business hours. Make sure it is compatible with your flight.
  • Price: depends on many factors. Approximately one week's rental ranges from around €300 to around €800 depending on the model and size of car you choose.
  • Travel time: The drive to Paris takes about an hour and twenty minutes.
  • Intermediate stops: You drive, so you decide the itinerary.
  • Do I need to book: Yes.

Regional express train (TER), no need to rush

You will see it signposted as TER and you can take it from Paris Gare du Nord to Beauvois SNCF station.

It's not a direct route, so although it has the advantage of being a cheap option, it's not very practical. It may be worthwhile if your hotel in Paris is at the Gare du Nord.

From the airport to Beauvois train station there is still a long way to go:

  • Bus: You have to add to the price of your trip the cost of the line 6 bus (it's public transport, so the price is around 1€) and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Buses leave both the train station and the airport twice an hour, between 7.30am and 7.18pm.
  • Taxi: the price is about €16 and the journey time is slightly less than the bus, about 20 minutes. The timetable is more flexible, of course, as they leave when you want them to.

Useful information

  • Timetable: there is a high frequency of trains between Gare du Nord and Beauvais, up to 26 trains a day on weekdays. The first train leaves at 06:07 and you can check if there are trains at the time you need on their website.
  • Price: approximately €16. To this price you have to add the cost of the bus or taxi you need to get from the airport to the station.
  • Journeytime: one hour and thirty minutes, plus another half hour or 20 minutes if you want to change to a bus to get to the station from the airport or a taxi.
  • Intermediate stops: the bus that connects the station with the airport hasintermediate stops.
  • Do I need to book? No, it is not necessary. You can buy your ticket directly from the ticket office, but it is advisable to book to ensure you get a seat.

Taxi, the last option for this journey

Although the taxi rank is directly at the airport and may be a good option, taxis between Paris and Beauvais airportarenot a popular or practical option.

Given that Beauvois airport is mostly served by low-cost airlines, it is likely that you will pay more to take a taxi to Paris than you paid for your flight.

Interesting facts

  • Timetable: whatever you want. The taxi rank is just outside the airport, so a taxi will be available as soon as you arrive.
  • Price: between €170 and €200 approximately, depending on the normal or night fare.
  • Journeytime: Approximately one and a half hours, depending on where you are staying in Paris and any traffic jams on the road.
  • Intermediate stops: No.
  • Do I need to book? No.
