Step by Step

On this day tour you will depart from Paris to travel along the north-west coast of France in a luxury air-conditioned coach, taking in the beautiful scenery characteristic of Normandy.

You will experience some of the key scenes of "D-Day", when Allied troops landed on the French coast with the aim of liberating Europe from Nazi occupation in 1944.

You will be accompanied by an expert guide to Omaha Beach, where the most intense and casualty-prone battle of the US assault was fought on 6 June 1944.

You will have the opportunity to visit the Normandy American Cemetery, where you will see a poignant scene with thousands of white painted crosses commemorating the sacrifice of the American soldiers, fallen in battle against Hitler's German militia.

In Arromanches, the Landing Museum and 360-degree Circular Cinema await you, with never-before-seen World War II footage, dioramas and other exhibits that will help you understand the nature and scale of the armed conflict.

Here you can stroll along the coast, see the remnants of the war and enjoy a delicious traditional Norman lunch.

You will pass Juno Beach, where the 3rd Division of the Canadian Army fought to join the British troops to clear the beach and join forces, making a strategic advance towards victory.

It is definitely a tour that I would repeat, although I would like it to last at least two days so that we could enjoy more of what we saw.
