Step by Step

Learn about the history and monuments of Strasbourg with this segway tour of the city. You'll be accompanied at all times by a tour guide who will take you to the most important sights.

The Segway is a small two-wheeled vehicle that you ride standing up and simply leaning your body slightly. It is perfect even for people who have never driven one before, as the handlebars provide a lot of stability. For beginners, there is a brief explanation of how to use it at the beginning of the tour.

Thanks to this segway you will be able to visit more places than you would on foot. This is the best way to make the most of the approximately 2 hours of the tour. One of the places you will be driving through the most is the Grande Ile.

This is an island in the centre of Strasbourg that has been declared a World Heritage Site for its medieval architecture and history. For example, inside is the medieval entrance to what is now the town hall, and also what is known as "La Petite France" where fishermen and millers lived in the Middle Ages.

Leaving the Grande Ile, you will pass through other equally important neighbourhoods such as the European Quarter or the German Quarter also known as Neustadt. In these two other quarters you will find state institutions housed in buildings with a wide variety of architectural styles.

This is the third time I've done a Segway tour and it's impossible to be disappointed. It's a great way to tour the city, learn and have fun.
