Step by Step
Set off from Munich and learn about the history of the medieval towns of Harburg and Rothenburg on this 1-day tour. During the 11-hour tour, you will be accompanied by a tour guide who will answer all your questions. He will also show you around and tell you about the most important sights.
The distance from Munich to Rothenburg, which is the farthest of the two towns, is about 250 km. So that this distance is not a problem , all necessary transfers are included in the tour in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Throughout the day you will be able to admire the most important monuments of both towns at close quarters. In Rothenburg, the town hall , which looks like a palatial building and even has bells, stands out. Not forgetting of course the city gates and the Markplatz, the town's main square. Thus, Rothenburg is considered one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe.
Harburg on the other hand also has a large number of medieval monuments. In this case you cannot miss its 11th century castle, which is the largest, oldest and best preserved castle in southern Germany. You can also choose to take a guided tour inside the castle.
During your time in the two towns you will also have free time. This allows you to walk through the streets at your own pace, pop into the shops of your choice or have lunch on your own at a place of your choice.
