Discover the centre of the ancient Greek world with this day trip to Delphi from Athens . Join this approximately 10-hour tour to learn about the fascinating Greek history of this World Heritage city. Board a comfortable, air-conditioned bus and be accompanied by a professional guide to visit this archaeological site. See the ruins of the famous Temple of Apollo, visit the Archaeological Museum of Delphi to see its masterpieces and enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant.

After pick-up from your selected hotel, you will board a comfortable vehicle and travel to Delphi. During the approximately 2.5-hour drive, enjoy the breathtaking scenery and let your guide immerse you in Ancient Greece with stories of local myths. Once in Delphi you will discover authentic wonders of antiquity. You will visit important archaeological and unique monuments such as the Temple of Apollo and its oracle. Stop in front of the imposing ruins of the temple and contemplate its 6 Doric columns dating back to the 4th century BC.

You will then head to the Archaeological Museum of Delphi, one of the most important in Greece for its rich collection of sculptures and minor artefacts. Covering an area of over 2,000 square metres, you can explore its more than 10 rooms and see unique pieces such as the famous Auriga and the Sphinx of Naxos, as well as many other masterpieces.

After your visit to the museum, you will enjoy free time to explore Delphi at your own pace, plus an optional lunch in the more traditional Delphic style. Enjoy a nice lunch on your own or, if you prefer, taste traditional Delphic food in a nice family restaurant.

On your way back to Athens, you will make a short stop in the towns of Arachova and Livadiya to enjoy some free time. Take the opportunity to stroll through the narrow streets, explore some of the handicraft shops or admire beautiful hand-woven carpets.
