For 24 hours, you'll have free access to dozens of museums and attractions in the city, as well as the zoo and thermal parks. Create your own itinerary and don't worry about transfers, as you'll have unlimited use of public transport throughout the day.

In this cosmopolitan city, you'll have plenty to see and do. Thanks to this pass, you can also save money to get to the places that interest you the most in a convenient and quick way.

The Reykjavik City Card offers free access to a selection of museums and galleries, including:

  • The National Museum of Iceland: the oldest museum in the country and celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2013. At the museum you can explore the permanent exhibition Making of a Nation - Heritage and History in Iceland, which aims to tell the story of the Icelandic nation from settlement to the present day.
  • The National Gallery of Iceland: Founded in 1884, this is the country's main art museum. Its art collection consists mainly of 19th and 20th century works. It holds many of the key works of Icelandic art history.
  • Reykjavík Maritime Museum: A harbour museum that explores Iceland's dramatic relationship with the sea.

As well as the capital's zoo, the City Card also gives you the option to visit a number of the country's popular thermal pools. To find out which thermal pools are available, it is advisable to check the website as they can be updated without prior notice.

It should be noted that it is advisable to book attractions in advance in case they are not available on the day you activate your City Card.

With this pass, you are allowed unlimited free travel on public transport around the capital. It also offers a free ferry ride to the island of Viðey and discounts on various excursions, shops and services.
