Best Beaches in Amalfi
Do you want to enjoy sun, sea and spectacular scenery? Amalfi is the ideal destination, as you'll get all that and much more while on the best holiday ever.
Among the best things to do in Amalfi, a visit to the beach is definitely the most important. Fortunately, if you go, you'll have plenty of beaches to choose from. Some are closer to town than others. However, I assure you that you will find the one that best suits what you are looking for and what you like.
If you are travelling with children, you will find quiet and relaxed beaches, but if you are with friends, you can choose livelier and more fun beaches. On the other hand, if you want a more romantic plan, you will also find beaches with restaurants and luxury bars nearby. There is everything on the Amalfi Coast! Don't hesitate any longer and visit this natural paradise.
1. Marina Grande
Marina Grande or Spiaggia Grande is the main beach of Amalfi, one of the longest and busiest of the whole coast. In fact, it is right next to the town's port and close to Piazza Flavio Gioia, where the bus and taxi terminal is also located. As it's easily accessible, it's a good idea to include it in any tour of Amalfi.
Access to this beach is free, so there's no problem with a nice swim after a tour of the town. You will find different services to make you as comfortable as possible and you can even visit it by booking a boat trip along the Amalfi Coast. Among these are beach chairs or umbrellas for rent, restaurants, toilets, showers and more. However, some people prefer to just lie on a towel and enjoy the scenery.
Be aware that if you visit this beach with children you should be careful. There is a point on the beach where you start to feel the depth of the water. My recommendation is that you always accompany the little ones and don't let them swim alone.
