The activity will last approximately 4 hours, during which you will walk a 6.4 km long path , divided into two outward and return paths of 3.2 km each. The difficulty of the hike is medium-low, with no exposed risks.

Step by Step
In this activity you will have the opportunity, for about 4 hours, to walk along the Valle delle Ferriere, one of the natural wonders of Amalfi. With an expert guide, you will learn about the history, flora and fauna of the place. This is a medium-low difficulty hike, as the difference in altitude both uphill and downhill is only 300 metres, with no major additional risks.
The Valle delle Ferriere owes its name to its medieval past, when the valley was home to blacksmiths who forged nails for the production of ships in the Amalfi shipyards. Today, the valley is a nature reserve, known for its countless streams, hiking trails, waterfalls and historic ruins .
The valley is located in the middle of the Scala Mountains, at the confluence of Amalfi and Salerno. The river Caneto flows through the valley and its waters irrigate the local flora. During the walk you will also be able to contemplate its fauna, with species such as the salamander and the common toad, the peregrine falcon or the spotted woodpecker, characteristic for its great colouring.
Once the activity is over, you will return to the original starting point, as it is a round trip.
