Step by Step

If you want to visit the Duomo of Florence and see this marvel of art, this is your chance. With this booking, you will have a combined ticket with access to the cathedral, the dome, the Baptistery and the Opera Museum. In addition, you will be accompanied by an expert guide in art history who will explain the history of these buildings, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In this activity, which can involve a maximum of 20 people in the group, you will visit the cathedral, one of the most characteristic places of the Italian city located in Piazza del Duomo. Also known as Santa Maria di Fiore, the cathedral was begun at the end of the 13th century and is considered one of the great masterpieces of Gothic and early Renaissance Italian art.

In the same square is another building that attracts many tourists:the Baptistery of St. John. This is a religious building famous for its set of bronze doors, such as the most popular one, the Door of Paradise.

This ticket also gives you access to the Opera del Duomo Museum, which is located in an old palace just behind the cathedral. Many original pieces are preserved inside, although for conservation reasons they have been replaced by replicas. Despite this, you will be able to admire the construction process of all the art that has survived over the centuries.

Finally, you can climb the dome of the cathedral, which has a total of 463 steps, as well as Giotto's bell tower, which has 414 steps. However, for this tour you must book your time slot in advance as there is no guarantee that there will be availability on the day of the tour.

The cathedral left me speechless, I have to admit that I was very surprised to see it in person. The architecture is incredible, but the grandeur and history of this place make it even more beautiful.

An aesthetically beautiful place in its entirety, very well preserved and with a lot of history behind it.

Aesthetically I thought it looked better on the outside than on the inside. I really enjoyed the visit and the experience, but I expected something more. However, I would like to highlight the incredible works of art on display inside the cathedral, I have never seen anything like it in my life.
