Step by Step
Immerse yourself in the rich history of Naples with a private guided tour of approximately 2 hours at the National Archaeological Museum.
This museum houses one of the most important collections of ancient artefacts in Italy, spanning from Greek and Roman times to the Renaissance.
With your private guide, you can explore the various rooms and discover the treasures found in each of them.
You will visit the Greek section, where you can admire sculptures and ceramics dating from the 8th to the 3rd century BC. Your guide will explain the details of each piece and tell you the fascinating stories behind them.
In the Roman section you will find mosaics, frescoes and sculptures that will transport you back to ancient Rome.
One of the main attractions of the museum is the collection of artefacts from Pompeii and Herculaneum, two Roman cities that were buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Here you can admire everyday objects of Roman life, such as kitchen utensils, jewellery and wall paintings.
Throughout the visit, your guide will be on hand to answer your questions and provide you with interesting information about the history of Naples and the artefacts on display in the museum.
