Experience an excursion full of history and adventure on a day tour to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius from Positano. An air-conditioned minivan will make your round trip from Positano.
The activity includes the entrance to the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, and the entrance to Mount Vesuvius.
At your arrival a local guide will be waiting for you to tell you all the stories about these two important Italian areas, while you walk for 2 hours through the most emblematic places of Pompeii.
You will see the typical ancient houses, walk through the western part of the city where you will see important Roman monuments such as the Basilica, the ancient city square that was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius known as the Forum and more places.
You will walk along the Great Cone towards the summit of Mount Vesuvius to admire the incredible views over the Gulf of Naples. Along the way you will come across different pieces and evidence of its eruption in August 79.
