The Archbasilica of St. John Lateran is the first and oldest church in Rome, dating back to the 4th century. Discover the frescoes inside, the mosaics on the floor and the marble-columned cloister.

The Scala Santa is made up of the steps which, according to tradition, were brought from Jerusalem and are believed to have belonged to the house of Pontius Pilate. Jesus would climb them during his interrogation prior to his crucifixion.

The Basilica of the Holy Cross is one of the most venerated by Catholics, as it preserves relics that would have belonged to the cross on which Christ died, such as thorns and nails. You can also see the Renaissance frescoes that decorate it.
