Located in the heart of Venice, built in 1792 in neoclassical style, the opera house La Fenice was a private theatre where theatrical and operatic performances were staged. It also enjoyed being a meeting place for Venice's cultural elite. The famous theatre, although destroyed by fire in 1863, rose from the ashes. Hence the name "La Fenice". Phoenix in Italian, a very appropriate nickname for this icon that has risen twice from the ashes. And which has been active since 2003.

Now restored to its 18th century glory, the famous opera house boasts an impressive interior that is well worth seeing. In groups of around 20 people you will explore the interior of this opera house consisting of five galleries. Throughout your visit with a local guide, you will hear stories of legendary musicians and singers who passed through the walls of the auditorium.

With seating for over a thousand people, La Fenice boasts excellent acoustics, accommodating an orchestra of 98 musicians and a chorus of 66. This important creative space, which hosts more than a hundred operas every year, has been the venue for the premiere of masterpieces by composers such as Rossini, Verdi, Bellini and Donizetti .

It is the ideal place to enjoy the pleasure of a forgotten opera classic, a contemporary repertoire centred on Venetian artists such as Nono and Maderna, ballets and chamber music concerts.
