If you have an adventurous spirit, sign up for this 2-day trip to the Zagora desert from Marrakech, 7 hours away. The tour includes various activities such as a camel ride, camping in a Berber settlement or the chance to see the sights of Morocco's Atlas Mountains.
An expert guide will accompany you at all times and provide you with interesting facts about the desert. You will also be provided with transport to and from the hotel, breakfast, dinner and accommodation. You will visit the city of Ait Ben Haddou and the beautiful Ouarzazate. Here is a brief outline of the itinerary for this tour:
Day 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Zagora
- Departure from Marrakech: The tour starts early in the morning by crossing the Tizi N'Tichka mountain pass, 2,260 metres above sea level, 180 km from Marrakech. This pass, known for its spectacular views of the High Atlas Mountains, offers landscapes that combine snow-capped peaks with Berber villages nestled on the slopes.
- Ait Ben Haddou: Visit this UNESCO World Heritage ksar, a unique example of the traditional architecture of southern Morocco. Famous for its appearance in films such as Gladiator, this place offers an immersion in local history and is ideal for unforgettable photographs.
- Ouarzazate: The stop in this city, known as "the gateway to the desert", includes time to explore the Kasbah Taourirt, a Berber architectural gem. In addition, the guide will explain its importance as a centre of film production and culture.
- Draa Valley: The journey continues through this fascinating valley, known to be home to Morocco's longest river. The extensive palm groves and traditional kasbahs that line the road offer an authentic experience of oasis life.

Day 2: Zagora - Draa Valley - Marrakech

- Breakfast at the camp: Travellers will enjoy a Berber breakfast before returning to Zagora by camel.
