Step by Step

A guided tour of the Rijksmuseum, the world's leading museum of Dutch Golden Age paintings, is a must during your visit to the capital of the Netherlands. In this activity you will walk through the corridors of the gallery and see the most famous works of Fra Angelico, Goya, Rubens, Van Gogh and Rembrandt.

The visit will take place in small groups of around 15 people to optimise the experience. You will also have the advantage of access to the museum without having to queue, which will allow you to see paintings such as "The Night Watch" and other creations in the most exclusive way.

The Rijksmuseum, which means "Museum of the Kingdom", is a space dedicated to history, crafts and art. It was founded in 1800 and its main collection is on the Dutch Golden Age. It also houses collections of Asian and Egyptian works of art, as well as numerous prints, oriental porcelain, furniture and modern paintings.

Rembrandt's"The Night Watch" and Johannes Vermeer's "The Milkmaid" are some of the most representative and recognisable paintings in the museum. On your tour, you will find decorative elements from other periods, doll's houses, jewellery and much more in more than 200 rooms.

In 1808 it was moved by Napoleon's brother to Amsterdam from its original location in The Hague. Today, this art gallery has come to host more than 2.45 million visitors and is one of Amsterdam's most popular attractions.
