Tour the city in a most original way with these tickets for Hippotrip, Lisbon's amphibious bus. For approximately 1 hour and a half, you'll travel around the most emblematic places in the city and end up sailing along the Tagus River. Of that time, about 30 minutes will be spent in the water.

The incredible amphibious vehicle will take you to discover the city by land and water in a fun activity for the whole family, although children under 2 years old are not allowed to participate.   • Land route: you will pass through some of Lisbon's must-see places such as Praça do Comércio, Jardim de Pombal, Avenida da Liberdade or the Belem neighbourhood.
  • River route: although it may vary depending on the weather conditions, you will have a unique perspective of the 25th of April Bridge and places such as the Belém Tower or Padrao Do Descobrimentos.

Step by Step

These Hippotrip tickets are the perfect opportunity for a fun and original sightseeing tour. You will board an amphibious vehicle which, for approximately 1.5 hours, will take you around the city both on land and on water.

An expert local guide will give you live commentary (in English and Portuguese) on the different landmarks and points of interest along the route so that you can learn about the history of the city.

The tour will start like a normal tourist bus and you will travel through the main streets of the city. But at one point you'll leave the surface behind and enter the impressive Tagus River. Cruising along the river for about 30 minutes will allow you to see some of the nearby tourist attractions from a different perspective.

This is a more entertaining way of sightseeing in Lisbon. It is also fun for children over 2 years old, making it an ideal experience for the whole family.

    You could say it was an adventure style tour. I didn't know this way of getting to know Lisbon. We went by land and water and saw places of interest in the city like Padrão dos Descobrimentos or the VTS tower. I took very good pictures from the water as well.
