Step by Step
Embark on an exciting private tour to Porto from Lisbon and discover the charms of this beautiful Portuguese city. The journey will start from your accommodation in Lisbon, you will be picked up and start your journey to the north of Portugal, enjoying the scenery all the way to Porto. The journey takes approximately 10 hours.
Once in Porto, a private guide will accompany you throughout the day and give you a fully personalised experience. You will have the opportunity to visit the famous Lello Bookshop, considered one of the most beautiful in the world. You will also be able to see the Clérigos Tower, an impressive architectural ensemble that offers one of the best panoramic views of the city and the Sé Cathedral with its imposing architecture.
You will also be able to stroll through the Ribeira, a picturesque neighbourhood next to the Douro River, where you can walk through its narrow streets full of restaurants, small shops and colourful houses that have remained intact since the 18th century. It is ideal to take advantage of this beautiful walk to taste some of the typical dishes of the region.
Another of the postcards you will see is the Dom Luís I bridge, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cultural Interest. The viaduct crosses the Douro River and connects Porto with the neighbouring Vila Nova de Gaia. Its metal structure is very similar to that of the Eiffel Tower, as the engineer who designed it worked with Gustave Eiffel on several projects.
If you go to Oporto you cannot return without visiting one of its wineries, where you can learn about the process of making the famous Port wine and, of course, taste it. Immerse yourself in the gastronomic culture of the region and discover why Port wine is so appreciated all over the world.
After a day full of discoveries and experiences in Porto, you'll head back to Lisbon, where you'll be driven to your accommodation to rest and take in all the adventure you've experienced.
