Step by Step
This guided tour of Barcelona's Park Güell will take you on an unforgettable journey of approximately 1 hour filled with art, culture and natural biodiversity. You'll have the opportunity to explore the extensive 19-hectare municipal garden, created by the Spanish architect and artist Antoni Gaudí, the leading exponent of the Catalan modernist movement. You will learn about the importance of the park and his works with a guide who is an expert in history.
After accessing the imposing Dragon Staircase, you will enter the Hypostyle Hall, an area of 86 fluted columns that form a kind of temple in three rooms. Inside, a duct system stores the rainwater and it flows back to the entrance, with the mouth of the dragon sculpture as its drain.
Another essential site on your visit is the Greek Theatre, also known as Nature Square, originally conceived as a space for outdoor performances, so that they could be seen from the terraces of the park.
And to crown your trip, among other must-see stops in Park Güell, you can't miss the small but significant Cerro de las Tres Cruces (Three Crosses Hill). At the top you'll get one of the most beautiful views of Barcelona.
