Located in the town of Arucas, in the north of Las Palmas, this factory is one of the oldest rum cellars in Europe. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to taste a range of rums and liqueurs, for adults only, to get a taste of the essence of this drink.
In general, the entrance to the factory will be divided into five phases, which include the history of the origin of Arehucas, the visit to the cellar, the visit to the mill, the fermentation and distillation rooms to learn about the production of rum. Afterwards, you will visit the bottling room, where you will taste the liqueurs.
The history of Canary Island rum goes back to the time of Christopher Columbus. It is said that it was the nuns who distilled rum in the 18th century in Arucas, when sugar cane plantations appeared on the island.
