Step by Step

This original experience consists of a diving activity to see the Atlantic Museum of Lanzarote. It is ideal for lovers of diving, culture, and in general, water sports and landscapes. In small groups of around 12 people you will be able to contemplate a unique collection of underwater statues.

To enjoy this experience, a diving certification is required. You will be provided with snorkelling equipment and an expert guide who will swim with you while you view the museum. The activity also includes a boat transfer to the dive site and a shuttle service to and from the hotel.

The Atlantic Museum of Lanzarote consists of a large artificial reef formed by sculptures whose construction will contribute in the future to the increase of marine biomass and facilitate the reproduction of the island's species. It is located between 12 and 14 metres deep and thanks to the crystal clear waters of Lanzarote, you will be able to contemplate the beauty of the marine statues of the Museum.

The artist Jason deCaires Taylor was in charge of sculpting the figures and is known for his works under the sea. His creations are part of mysterious underwater worlds where art evolves thanks to nature, thus reproducing a dialogue between nature and humanity.

The sculptures depict scenes of environmental, social or moral importance, such as the Rubicon, the famous Lampedusa boat and some figures of a hybrid between human and cactus, showing the fusion between humanity and nature.

It all felt a bit desolate at one moment, but being in the water and diving it all looks different. A genius who made this Atlantic museum, even if it gave me a little bit of chills, it was very good.

I really liked the dynamics of the service and the attention. The truth is that this underwater museum is amazing, it looks like the remains of an ancient village sunk in the water. I recommend it if you go to Lanzarote.
