Step by Step

Join this tour of Santiago de Compostela and discover the most mysterious and ghostly side of the Galician capital. The tour will last approximately 2 hours and you will be accompanied by an expert guide, from whom you will learn a multitude of historical facts, myths and legends of the city of Compostela.

In the Plaza de las Praterías, you will listen to the legends and miracles of the Apostle St. James and learn about the history of this city and its relationship with the follower of Christ.

In the Plaza del Obradoiro, the most famous square in the city, you will see the multitude of emblematic buildings that surround it. These include the Rajoy Palace, the Hostal de los Reyes Católicos, the Colegio de San Jerónimo and the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela itself.

You will also see the Plaza de la Inmaculada, the place where the last stretches of the Pilgrims' Road to Santiago, the French, English and Northern Ways, meet. These complete the route arriving at the Cathedral's Puerta del Paraíso. This is why this square was known as Plaza del Paraíso in the Middle Ages.

In this square you will hear about witches, charms and spells, as well as the Templars, the importance of the Camino de Santiago in the Middle Ages and how the Game of the Goose was based on this unique route .

You will visit the Monastery of San Martín Pinario, where the Holy Inquisition was based, and continue to the Capital de Ánimas, where Queimada was made. This is a well-known Galician drink, traditionally used to ward off spirits and evil beings .

Other legends also await you in the Church of San Félix de Solovio and the Plaza de la Quintana, where, at nightfall, the ghost of a mysterious pilgrim appears.

An original and fun tour, full of mystery and history, ideal for lovers of the paranormal .
