Joining this approximately four-hour tour you will depart from Seville to the Roman city of Italica, the first metropolis of the legendary Empire in the region of the Iberian Peninsula, where the emperors' rule extended to.

Founded in 206 BC, Italica is a beautiful and historic archaeological complex that you will love to visit, located just a few minutes from the capital of Andalusia, in the lower Guadalquivir area.

A professional guide expert in art history will tell you the transcendental facts of the place, where you will be able to visit essential sites for sightseeing, among which the following stand out:

  • Temple of Trajan: it was built to honour the legendary emperor Trajan, who was born in Italica. It covers an area of approximately one hectare.

  • Amphitheatre: built during the mandate of the emperor Hadrian, in this enclosure the controversial gladiator fights took place.
