Teide Day Trip

An excursion to Teide is the best option if you don't have much time, but don't want to miss out on the wonders that this UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer. On this full half-day excursion, you'll have time to get a closer look at the volcanic landscapes and enjoy the breathtaking views.

On the way to the Teide National Park, you'll take a tour through the Canary Island's pine forests and typical villages, which is well worth the effort. The expert local guide who will accompany you during the excursion will tell you about the history of the area.

Once in the park, you will be greeted by a lunar landscape that will not leave you indifferent. There you can learn about the history of the formation of the islands and see the volcanoes that caused the most recent eruptions.

If you want to make the experience even better, take the cable car to the top of Mount Teide . At the top station of the cable car, at an altitude of 3,555 metres, you will have free time and you can choose between different itineraries to follow:

• The La Fortaleza trail to enjoy the views of the north of Tenerife.
• The path to the Mirador de Pico Viejo viewpoint to enjoy views of the southern slopes of Tenerife and some neighbouring islands.

In either case, the imposing crater of Montaña Chahorra, with its 800-metre diameter, will be at your feet. You can also choose to stay at the Mirador de la Rambleta viewpoint and enjoy the views of Siete Cañadas and the Ucanca Valley.
