Step by Step

This night excursion to the Teide National Park will allow you to see one of nature's greatest spectacles: a sky full of stars. The excursion starts in the south of Tenerife - including hotel pick-up if you are staying in this area - and takes place in a bus or minivan.

The total price includes, in addition to an expert guide, coats to keep out the cold, dinner, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and the possibility of using a telescope. The duration of the trip is approximately 6 hours.

The Canary Islands are the perfect place for stargazing. The lighting is not too bright and they are surrounded by miles and miles of ocean. In the park surrounding the volcano, the situation is even more idyllic, as light pollution is almost non-existent.

The celestial vault is home to 88 constellations and 83 can be seen from this protected area. For this reason, the Teide National Park is considered a "Starlight Destination".

The activity includes a stop at the following points:

  • Mirador de los Poleos: This is located at an altitude of 1400 metres and overlooks the Juan Díaz and Franceses ravines. Normally, a stop is made here to admire the sun set with a glass of cava in hand. From here, the view extends beyond the clouds.
  • Mirador de las Narices del Teide: From this point you can admire the stars unobstructed. The sky is completely dark and allows a perfect view with the telescope.
