Step by Step
This quad tour is perfect for those who want to experience something different. There are several tours that reach Teide by bus, an option that is undoubtedly comfortable but decidedly less exciting. In this case, the itinerary starts in the south of Tenerife and reaches the slopes of the volcano through forests and along unpaved roads. The price includes not only the hire of the vehicle and helmet, but also a local guide who knows all the routes up the mountain.
To ensure an optimal experience and to avoid wasting time, the activity is limited to a maximum of 15 participants. The complete route is about 90 km (round trip) and can be covered in about 4 hours. Please note that you can choose to go quad biking alone or with a companion.
The route normally reaches an altitude of 2,400 metres and includes a stop at the Boca Tauce viewpoint. Outside the natural park, you will pass through the following towns:
- Arona - It is a tourist destination famous for the beaches of Las Americas and Los Cristianos, but its heart is far from the coast. Its historic centre has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and is home to monuments such as the Church of San Antonio Abad and the Chapel of Calvario.
- Vilaflor de Chasna - A typical mountain village famous for its giant pine trees. They are situated along the C-821 road and it is impossible to miss them, as the trunks have a circumference of more than 9 metres. Normally, a stop is made here. You can take advantage of the time to have a bite to eat or stroll around the old town.
