Step by Step

Don't miss the opportunity to join this Everglades airboat tour from Miami. Florida's capital, Miami, is approximately two hours away from the largest subtropical nature park in the United States.

Dare to cross the Everglades, home to the largest wetland in North America. Here you will discover a multitude of strange and wild animals that you could only find in places like this: herons, American Anemones, alligators, ospreys, among others.

Everglades National Park, a term that can be translated as "eternal marshes", was created in 1947. Due to its richness of nature and multitude of varied ecosystems in this territory, UNESCO declared it a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site.

In addition to its rich variety of flora and fauna, it also has an extensive indigenous history. The Mikasuki are the Amerindian tribe that resides here today and have been the most important in the area. Along the way, you will be able to see some of their settlements.

The most impressive part of this experience will be the endangered and rare species of animals you will see in the Everglades. Some of them are:

  • Short-tailed bustards
  • Anatidae egrets
  • American Flamingos
  • Herons
  • Ibis
  • American Tantalus
  • Otters
  • Caribbean manatees
  • Crocodiles and alligators
  • Turtles
  • Pumas

From the flora we can highlight species such as oaks, red anonas, wild flowers such as orchids and the famous mangroves.

It was a very interesting and fun visit. Although I got a bit seasick at the beginning being on the boat, it went away quite quickly fortunately and I managed to enjoy the rest of the tour.
