Step by Step
For about 3 hours, you will have the opportunity to get to know Miami with an expert guide and taste its delicious local food . On Lincoln Road, a popular street of alternative shops and boutiques, you'll sample empanadas at the oldest restaurant in the area . Up to 4 other restaurants await you as well, where you can sample some of the best street food in the city.
Miami' s cuisine is strongly influenced by its proximity to the sea and the mix of Latin culture, especially Cuban, but also Puerto Rican. That's why you'll find some typical Latin American dishes, such as arepas, Cuban sandwiches and hamburgers, and yucca.
You can try delicious seafood such as fried snapper or crocodile tacos, and food with ethnic African roots such as mofongo, made from fried plantain and pork rinds. An authenticmix of flavours and cultures that will explode on your palate.
You will also visit different architectural monuments of the city among which are:
- Lincoln and Colony Theater, the city's classic art deco theatres.
- Miami Beach Community Church
- The spectacular Herzog and DeMeuron building, a jewel of avant-garde architecture .
Stroll along Hispaniola, a historic street lined with shops, bars and restaurants, which will fascinate you with its colonial-style buildings and bohemian art scene. On Ocean Drive, Miami's most famous pedestrian street, you'll see the largest concentration of the best-preserved Art Deco buildings in the world. Lined with bars and restaurants, it's one of the liveliest and most atmospheric streets in the city, perfect for cocktails, dining and partying.
Along the way, you will also see the façade of other famous buildings in the city, such as the classic Cavalier Hotel, or the Casa Casuarina, also known as the Versace Mansion, for having been home to the famous designer Gianni Versace.
