Step by Step

Nashville is not only Tennessee's most populous metropolis, but also the country music capital of the world. It's dotted with neon signs and honky tonks, the bars where live music is played. A trolley tour will take you to the most iconic spots and an expert guide will enlighten you on the history of the city.

This activity is designed for those over 18, but in the United States the minimum drinking age is 21. Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll have to walk a little, although the longest stretches are aboard a tram. Please note that this tour is limited to a maximum of 25 participants.

The tour usually departs from SoBro (South of Broadway), a neighbourhood adjacent to downtown. It is the musical heart of Nashville and is known for its bars, trendy restaurants and Johnny Cash museum. Another must-see attraction is 6th & Peabody, a collaboration between Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery and YeeHaw Brewing Company, one of the best craft breweries in the state. Admission is free.

This stage usually lasts about an hour and will give you the opportunity to sample (or buy) whiskey or moonshine, an American term for a spirit, usually made from corn, that was produced clandestinely during the Prohibition era.

Another landmark is the Music Hall of Fame, a museum that showcases the city's musical heritage. Opened in 1967, it has become so important and relevant that it has been dubbed the "Smithsonian of country music".

The tram will also drop you near the Ryman Auditorium which has hosted shows by great artists: Neil Young, Foo Fighters, Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow, but the list could go on and on. And to think that the building was originally created to host religious events.

Good experience although the tour left a bit to be desired, maybe we expected too much.

While I was expecting a bit more from the tour, I wasn't too disappointed either. It was full of great moments and we managed to take some amazing photos.
