Discover the history of the United States through art with this ticket to the New York Historical Society. In this space, located in Manhattan, which also has a library, you can access both the permanent and temporary exhibitions on display. There are also spaces dedicated to children and women.
Take advantage of the guided tours that are free with these tickets. But they will only be available between 14:00 and 15:30.
One of the exhibitions you can see is entitled: "I'll Have What She's Having: Jewish Delicatessen". This special exhibition examines how Jewish immigrants, mostly from Central and Eastern Europe, imported and adapted traditions to create a uniquely American restaurant and reveals how Jewish delis became a cornerstone of American food culture.
Another pictorial exhibition is "Scenes from New York: The Elie and Sarah Hirschfeld Collection", which celebrates the dynamic and multifaceted city of New York in paintings by artists such as Theresa Bernstein and Keith Haring.
Inside this museum, there is also a space dedicated to children. This is the DiMenna Children's History Museum. This place invites families to connect with America's past, present and future through interactive exhibits and fun programmes for all ages.
On the other hand, you can visit the Women's History Center, the first of its kind in the country, within the walls of a large museum. This space unearths the lives and legacies of women who have shaped and continue to shape the American experience.
