Experience Highlights

Want to discover what it's like to be at the top of New York? You can do it by going up to the One World Observatory! This impressive observation deck is located at One World Trade Center, a 541-metre tall skyscraper that makes it the tallest building in the city and an icon of the New York skyline.

The experience starts at the bottom. With these tickets, you go straight to the security checkpoint and then to the lift queue. You may have to wait a little while depending on the time of year, but it will be totally worth it. Once inside the lifts, you'll be ready to catapult yourself up to the observation deck in just a few seconds. One World Observatory's Skypod lif ts take just 1 minute to reach the 100th, 101st and 102nd floors where the observation decks are located.

  • Forget about long queues at the ticket office. With your pre-purchased ticket, you enter directly at the security checkpoint and in just a few seconds you'll be enjoying the views.
  • The views of the city that never sleeps are divided into three observation decks (100, 101 and 102 floors) where you can also find restaurants and projections about the history of the building.
  • Climb more than 100 floors in just 1 minute and discover the history of the city with the multimedia presentations you'll see on your ascent to the New York skyline.

Step by Step

In a city like New York it's hard to stand out, and the One World Observatory does just that. There is a long queue to get into the observatory, but with these tickets you'll go straight through the building's security checkpoint, saving you time and hassle at the ticket office. However, you may have to wait a little while in the lifts. Depending on the time of year you visit this popular building, the queue for the lifts may be long, but the wait will be worth it once you're inside. We assure you!

The first step of the experience is the lift ride. The Skypod lifts at One World Trade Center are like a vertical roller coaster that goes up a total of 100 floors (541 metres high) in 1 minute. Don't worry: there will be no free fall and no feeling of dizziness, and on the way up you will see projections on the history of New York designed to make the most of every second and to contextualise the views that await you at the end of the ride.

Obviously, the best part comes when the lift doors open: the 360º views of the city of skyscrapers will leave you in awe. The feeling that you have New York at your feet (more than 500 metres below your feet) is something unique. Trust us: it's better to experience it live than to read about it.

The main observation deck is located on the 100th floor where the 360º views take centre stage. If you get hungry while enjoying the panoramic view on the 101st floor you have several options of restaurants and cafes.

After enjoying the views, it's natural to wonder how it's possible to build this, and how New York has managed to grow so high. The answers are provided by the See Forever theatre on the 102nd floor; an interactive audio-visual experience with images and videos about the construction of this and other iconic New York buildings.

By the way! Speaking of audiovisual experiences: try the augmented reality app One World Explorer on one of the iPads available. With it you can take a virtual helicopter tour and identify everything you can see from the top of the observatory.

If after all this you still have any questions or requests, you have at your disposal the City Pulse experts, assistants spread throughout the building to whom you can approach and ask them anything you need to know.
