Step by Step

On this tour along the coast of San Francisco Bay, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful views of the city from the sea at sunset. For about an hour and a half you will enjoy a tour on board a comfortable catamaran. Once on the boat, you can enjoy a drink (alcoholic or not) while contemplating one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Californian coast.

Equipped with an audio guide, you will learn about the history and architecture of the city, as well as its main buildings.

The catamaran is equipped with a 360-degree protected viewing area for those who prefer to take cover. The boat will cross under the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, the city's most famous bridge. The bridge was built in the 1930s as part of a public works programme initiated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This programme was intended to address the growing unemployment that plagued the country after the Great Depression .

You can also see San Francisco's impressive skyline, full of skyscrapers overlooking the sea. Some of them stand out for their architecture, such as Transamerica Pyramid for its unique design, or Salesforce Tower, which at 326 metres is the tallest building in the city. Other notable buildings include Coit Tower, famous for its art deco style , and Fort Mason, the city's former military base.

Illuminated by the sunlight at dusk, you will see the famous Alcatraz Island. This is where the most famous maximum security prison in the United States was built. Operational between 1934 and 1963, the prison held criminals such as Al Capone and Mickey Cohen. After a successful escape in 1962 by 3 prisoners, the prison closed and remains today as one of San Francisco's main tourist attractions.
