Savannah is known as one of the most historically significant cities in the United States . It was an important enclave during the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. The city is known for its many pre-Civil War buildings. It is also famous for its well-kept parks and beautiful historic downtown, one of the best preserved in the country.

Along the way, you'll see Forsyth Park, with its iconic fountain, and Jefferson City Market, filled with restaurants, watering holes, shops and entertainment venues. You'll pass by the beautiful Johnson Square . Built in 1733, it's Savannah's oldest and largest square.

In the city's historic district, you'll see the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The first church on the site was built by French colonists fleeing Haiti and French nobles escaping the Revolution. However, the church suffered a fire in 1898 and was rebuilt a year later.

Also waiting for you is the beautiful Andrew Low House, a historic mansion with gardens that houses a museum inside. The building is located in one of Savannah's most beautiful areas and was opened as a museum in 1840. The exterior views are beautiful and the interior contains true gems of American art. The mansion is also known for being the founding site of the Girl Scouts of America.

Other highlights include the tree-lined Monterey Square and the SCAD Museum of Art, with its unique exterior design. You'll walk along Historic River Street, the city's pleasant waterfront, lined with shops, restaurants and life. The experience was amazing, I didn't think I would like to do a tour like this. The only bad thing I have to say was that the weather was horrible that day, we even had to rush a bit.
