Step by Step

Leave Brussels and get to know Luxembourg, one of the smallest but most historic countries in Europe, on this tour. Over the course of 1 day, approximately 11 hours, you will visit the centre of this small country. During your visit you will always be accompanied by a tour guide, so you will learn all about its history and monuments.

The distance from Brussels to Luxembourg is about 230 km, so to get from one place to the other, the tourincludes the return trip in an air-conditioned vehicle. Once you arrive in Luxembourg, your guided tour will begin.

Luxembourg is a medieval city which was fortified with a great wall, of which you can still see little remains today. Because it is situated on the top of a large mountain, many kings decided to reside in this city.

Thus, the Royal Palace is still in use today, as Luxembourg is a monarchy. The Cathedral of Notre Dame, which has the same name as the one in Paris, but has a very different architecture.

Luxembourg is still a country of relevance, something you can see as during your visit you will see the European Court of Justice in the centre of the city. Along the way you will also have some free time to walk around the old town on your own or stop for a bite to eat on your own.

On the way back to Brussels you will also make a short stop in the city of Dinant. This is important as you will be able to see its impressive cathedral built in the 13th century.

We had plenty of free time to have lunch and go wherever we wanted. Also consider that the city is beautiful.
