Step by Step

This excursion will allow you to admire the vineyards of Beaujolais, a wine-growing region par excellence just a few kilometres from Lyon. This is where you will find the wine route, 140 km winding through countryside, châteaux and beautiful villages. You will travel in a comfortable minivan and have an expert guide at your disposal. The itinerary takes in the following locations:

  • Mont Brouilly - The minivan will accompany you through this relief, an ancient extinct volcano. The soil is perfect for red wines, which are grown along its slopes.
  • Cercie - A small commune in the Rhône-Alpes region. This stage includes a stop at a family winery where an oenologist will tell you the secrets of Beaujolais wine. Semi-carbonic maceration is used for its production, a process that guarantees an extraordinary ageing capacity.
  • Fleurie - Known mainly for its panoramic views reaching as far as the Alps. The local wines are noted for their floral bouquet, with notes of carnations, raspberries and nutmeg. The Chapel of La Madone is also located here.
  • Chenas - In this village you will visit a winery of a wine estate where the cru wines of the region are produced, a term that identifies the best plots of land.

At the end of the day, the vehicle will take you back to Lyon. The itinerary is suitable for all ages and does not require great physical effort.
