Step by Step
Explore the authentic imperial city of the Inca Empire from a panoramic open-top vehicle as you experience the Cuzco sightseeing bus tour. You will get to know a legendary and historic destination, once the capital of Peru, which still preserves the spiritual essence of the ancient and glorious civilization that dominated the American territory in the 15th and 16th centuries.
You will tour the city for approximately two and a half hours, with a professional guide specialised in the culture and traditions of Cuzco, who will show you the transcendental mark left by this magical millenary place, in which you can breathe an ancestral mysticism.
You will have the opportunity to take an open-top bus ride through the historic centre of the city, from where you will visit places such as:
- Sacsayhuaman: you will be amazed to see this archaeological site located on a surface of more than 3 thousand hectares, which boasts a fortress with huge stones of 5 metres high.
- Puca Pucara: further outside Cuzco, the Puca Pucara compound is another fortress with ancient stone buildings, some belonging to the period before the Inca Empire.
- Qenqo: the third archaeological site you can visit on this tour is Qenqo, where the underground tunnels steal the show. This is where the Inca rituals were held.
- Qolqampata Palace: this mystical palace belonged to the emperor Manco Capac, who some historians describe as the founder of the Inca culture.
- White Christ: the statue of the White Christ, approximately 8 metres high, guards the city from the Pukamoqo hill, offering an incredible panoramic view.
In addition, you will witness a demonstration of an Andean ritual ceremony, hosted by a local priest, who will show the ancestors' ways of thanking nature for its bounties.
