Experience Highlights

Can you imagine walking through a medieval city that has preserved its original medieval layout? This guided tour of Kraków's Old Town will make you feel as if you have stepped back in time.

Its historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, combines imposing monuments, centuries-old legends and streets that have remained almost untouched since the 14th century.

For about 3 hours, you will walk through this historic area with an expert guide (in English) who will reveal the secrets of the city in a small group. If you prefer a more personalised experience, you can also book a private tour. Children under the age of 5 are free of charge, making it an ideal plan for the whole family.

The tour starts on Grodzka Street, very close to the main market square, and from there you will enter the Royal Route to discover architectural gems such as St. Mary's Basilica, the Church of St. Peter and Paul, and the Royal Castle of Wawel.

  • Walk through Krakow's medieval Old Town on a 3-hour walking tour.
  • See monuments such as the Market Square, the Royal Wawel Castle or an original street from 1401.
  • Learn about the fascinating history of Krakow with a local guide who knows every corner and legend of the city.

Step by Step

With this guided tour you will visit the most emblematic corners of the old town of Krakow, a city that dates back to 966 and is recognised by UNESCO. During the tour, which lasts about 3 hours, you will walk with an expert guide who will share with you the history and curiosities of each medieval building, as well as anecdotes about the former royal capital of Poland.

If you prefer a more exclusive experience, you can opt for a private tour for you and your companions.

As you follow the Royal Route, you will pass through historic streets, Baroque churches and Renaissance palaces. The tour includes essential stops where your guide will explain the architectural importance of each place.

You will also have the opportunity to take a coffee break (on your own) at a local coffee shop to recharge your batteries before exploring further.

  • Royal Wawel Castle: Residence of the Polish kings until the 17th century, with medieval, Romanesque and Renaissance styles.
  • St. Mary's Basilica (Basilica Mariacka): Built in the 14th century, it is a spectacular example of Polish Gothic architecture and houses the famous altarpiece by Veit Stoss.
  • Cloth Hall: Medieval shopping centre in the heart of the Main Market Square, now an icon of Krakow.
  • Ulica Grodzka: One of the oldest and most famous thoroughfares in the city, with buildings that have retained their Baroque and Renaissance styles and from where this tour departs.

You will end your tour at the Main Market Square, fascinated by the rich history of Krakow. Thanks to the small group size, you will have enjoyed a close and comfortable atmosphere, understanding first-hand why this medieval gem remains one of the most attractive cities in Poland.

Excellent tour, the guide had a lot to tell us. Although he spoke very fast, it was sometimes difficult to understand him, you had to concentrate a lot on his words.
