By joining this tour you'll ride in a horse-drawn carriage through the popular French Quarter of New Orleans. You'll be transported back to the 18th century as you tour the city's must-see sites in a mule-drawn carriage.
Accompanied by a professional guide you will learn, in small groups of approximately eight people, the history of the area's legendary sites, including:
- St. Louis Cathedral: take a picture in front of this historic 18th century church, one of the most iconic postcard images of New Orleans.
- Jackson Square: also known as Arms Square, this is the cultural and social epicentre of the French Quarter, with the Cathedral at the front.
- New Orleans Town Hall: served as the city's town hall during the Spanish viceroyalty, originally built in 1795 and rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1788.
- French Market: in this commercial and cultural centre of the French Quarter you will find a wide variety of food, restaurants, cafes and an incredible atmosphere with live music.
You'll also pass the famous Pontalba Buildings, whose pioneering architecture marked a turning point in the style of New Orleans' street infrastructure. This building was declared a United States National Historic Landmark.
